Licence
Casino-style games are offered under fixed-odds betting rules on a WCGRB bookmaker licence. The National Gambling Board's media release of 27 February 2026 directs provinces to prohibit that arrangement; the Western Cape has permitted it and the South African Bookmakers' Association disputes the NGB's reading. Unresolved at the time of writing.
